Terms of Service — The Athlete Spotlight
Effective and last updated: September 4, 2026
The Athlete Spotlight is operated by Your Content Factory LLC, a Nevada limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms apply when you use the free brand-readiness audit or buy the managed website service.
1. The service and price
The managed service is $30 per month, billed in advance, with no join fee. It renews monthly until canceled. The included work is described on the What’s Included page. The version of that page displayed when payment completes defines the subscription’s starting scope. The service is not athlete representation, recruiting, legal advice, financial advice, or sponsorship brokerage. Work outside the published package requires a separate written agreement.
Before a price change or material reduction in scope applies to an existing subscription at a later renewal, we will provide advance notice and an opportunity to cancel. Existing subscriptions are not repriced merely because a different public offer appears later.
2. Age and contracting authority
- Under 13: the audit and paid service are not offered. The age screen is self-attested; we do not claim independent age verification or operate a verifiable-parental-consent program. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 outside a lawful exception, we will stop using it and handle deletion as required.
- Age 13–17: a parent or legal guardian must accept these Terms, pay, hold the account, record the athlete’s assent and the guardian’s approval before public content or marketing likeness use, and control contact, cancellation, and transfer decisions.
- Age 18+: the athlete may contract directly.
If we learn that a minor account lacks the required guardian authority, we may pause publication, request appropriate authorization, cancel the service, and provide any refund required by this policy or applicable law.
3. No outcome promises
We build and maintain an organized public source for approved athlete information. We do not promise recruiting interest, offers, roster spots, search positions, knowledge panels, media coverage, followers, sponsorships, NIL deals, free products, contracts, or income. We do not control search engines, social platforms, schools, recruiters, media, or brands.
4. Content, likeness, and permissions
These Terms do not transfer rights already held by the adult athlete, customer, guardian, photographer, publisher, or another rights holder. You represent that you have authority to submit and authorize our use of each item. To the extent you control the necessary rights, you grant us a non-exclusive, limited license to host, format, resize, edit, and display that material only as needed to provide the service and only after the required approvals are recorded. The license ends after account closure and reasonable backup-retention periods, except where continued retention is legally required.
The service license does not authorize us to use an athlete in our own advertising, testimonials, galleries, case studies, or social posts. Those uses require a separate written release from the adult athlete or, for a minor, both the athlete’s assent and the parent’s or legal guardian’s approval. A public profile, service enrollment, referral arrangement, or compensation relationship is not by itself a marketing or likeness release.
You must have the right to submit every image, clip, logo, quote, and fact. Do not submit false information, infringing material, private information you lack authority to disclose, or unsafe content.
5. The free audit and optional publication
An audit score is an informational brand-readiness estimate based on submitted and available public information. It is not a measure of talent, character, recruiting potential, or future earnings. Audit results are not listed on the public leaderboard by default. Marketing contact, SMS, phone outreach, or any public listing requires a separate eligible opt-in and is unavailable for minors unless the required athlete assent and guardian authorization are documented.
6. Billing and cancellation
By completing payment, you authorize a recurring $30 monthly charge until cancellation. Material price, frequency, renewal, and cancellation terms are shown before payment. Payment processing is provided by a third party; its confirmation is the authoritative payment receipt.
You may stop future recurring charges through the cancellation-request form or by emailing operations@localservicespotlight.com from the account email. No cancellation fee or minimum term applies. The form returns a timestamped intake receipt. A receipt remains pending, and is not yet an effective cancellation, until we verify that the requester controls the account email and match that verified email to the account. Once both checks succeed, cancellation is effective as of the original submission time for future renewals. The same control-verification and account-match rules apply to an email request, using its received time. For an account covering an athlete age 13–17, verification must use the guardian-controlled account email. If another renewal is processed after the effective time, we will refund it. Cancellation does not automatically refund the current paid period.
If a payment fails or is reversed, we may pause work or publication while the account is unresolved.
7. Refund policy
- You are eligible for a refund only if, when you request it, no intake has been completed, no work has begun, and no domain has been registered.
- After a domain has been registered, no refund is promised under the preceding eligibility rule. If we nonetheless approve a discretionary exception, or a refund is required by law or card-network rules, we may deduct the actual documented, nonrecoverable registry cost only where permitted. This does not affect correction of duplicate charges, wrong amounts, or charges after an effective cancellation.
- Duplicate charges, wrong amounts, or charges after an effective cancellation will be corrected.
- Failure to receive a recruiting, search, audience, sponsorship, or income outcome is not a refund basis because those outcomes are not part of the service promise.
Request a refund from the account email. Approved refunds return through the original payment provider; completion time depends on that provider and the customer’s financial institution. This policy does not limit non-waivable legal or card-network rights.
8. Domain registration and transfer
An included standard new .com is registered only after payment settles. Premium, auction, and aftermarket domains are not included. Until transfer, the domain remains in Your Content Factory LLC’s registrar account.
After at least one paid, non-refunded month, the customer may request transfer to the adult athlete or, for a minor, the guardian. Submit the request during the paid period or within 90 days after the paid period ends. A timely request remains open until it can be completed if a registrar or registry lock prevents immediate transfer. A registrar may deny an inter-registrar transfer during the first 60 days after initial registration, and a change of registrant can also trigger a 60-day lock.
A payment that never settles, a fully refunded membership, or a chargeback does not create a right to the included domain. We will not sell an eligible customer’s domain to a third party during the request window. Third-party registrar or new-host fees are the customer’s responsibility unless we agree otherwise in writing.
9. Site export and end of service
During the paid period or the 90-day request window, the customer may request a copy of customer-submitted material and the text we published for that customer in a documented common file format. This is a content copy, not a restorable clone of our WordPress theme, templates, plugins, hosting configuration, internal tools, audit/scoring engine, credentials, or systems.
After the paid period, active maintenance stops. We may freeze or take the hosted site offline, subject to a timely transfer/export request and applicable law. Search-engine caches and third-party copies are outside our control.
10. Privacy and communications
The Privacy Policy explains collection, use, retention, correction, and deletion. Messages needed to respond to a request or administer a purchase are operational communications. Marketing and promotional messages require a separate opt-in and include a way to opt out. We do not sell personal data.
11. Acceptable use
You may not impersonate another person; submit knowingly false or infringing material; probe, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer protected parts of the service; use the service to exploit or endanger a minor; or resell the service without written permission. We may remove unsafe or unlawful material and may suspend or end service for material violations or nonpayment.
12. Disclaimers and liability
We will provide the service with reasonable care. To the extent allowed by law, the service is otherwise provided “as is.” Our total liability for a claim arising from the service is limited to the amount paid for the service during the 12 months before the claim. This does not limit liability or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to limit.
13. Changes and disputes
We may update these Terms prospectively. Material changes affecting an existing subscription will be communicated in advance and will not create a new charge without the authorization required by law. These Terms are governed by Nevada law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Venue is in state or federal court in Clark County, Nevada, unless applicable law requires otherwise. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
14. Contact and entire agreement
Questions, cancellation, refund, correction, deletion, export, and transfer requests: operations@localservicespotlight.com. Postal address: Your Content Factory LLC, 2605 S Decatur Blvd Ste 123 PMB 1061, Las Vegas, NV 89102.
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the applicable dated package-page version are the agreement for the public $30 offer. A social post, case study, roadmap item, or statement by a third party is not a contract term.
